Announcing their arrival earlier this year with a sell-out show at Sydney’s Soda Factory, indie-pop band Colorstarr are ready to deliver a sun-soaked soundtrack to an endless summer with the vibrant sounds of their debut EP, ‘Do It Again’. Released on July 17th 2013, the 5 track EP sees Colorstarr effortlessly fuse an infectious pop sound with an electronic and indie rock vibe.
Featuring members based in both LA and Sydney, Colorstarr have already made a huge impact worldwide. The EP’s title track ‘Do It Again’ was featured on MTV UK’s In the Crowdand their latest single ‘Masquerade’ recently featured on the hit Australian TV show Offspring. The inclusion of ‘Masquerade’ on the Offspring official soundtrack sees the band placed comfortably alongside indie and pop industry heavy-weights such as Lisa Mitchell, Gypsy & The Cat, Ellie Goulding and The Preatures, which is just where they belong. Colorstarrbring to ‘Do It Again’ a kaleidoscopic blend of styles, as they draw influence from a variety of genres and complete this with a dose of catchy dance music, as seen through their work with notable electronic music names such as Christian Rich, Bass Clef and The Potbelleez.
Colorstarr now look set to continue the fast-paced momentum that’s been evident since their inception in 2012. Joining booking agency New World Artists, Colorstarr will be rocking the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on 23rd August 2013, where fans can expect a feel-good vibe and a hell of a lot of dancing. Soon after this they head to LA in for a series of showcases, which coincides with the release of the ‘Do It Again’ dance remixes through Bombsquad in September.
